The Village of Key Biscayne, incorporated in 1991, is an island municipality within Miami-Dade County governed by the Village Council and administered by the Village Manager, Department Directors and professional staff. As part of the community's planned growth, an Art in Public Places Ordinance was passed in 2001 to enhance the Village's municipal spaces and buildings with significant art works of quality and universal value. The Art in Public Places Board oversees the program and advises the Village Council.
Board Members are appointed by the Council and advise the Council on the acquisition, placement and maintenance of art in the Village. They also administer the placement of art that is loaned to the Village.
Board meetings, usually on the second Tuesday of the month at 9:00 am, are advertised and open to the public at the following location:
