NOTICE OF BID INVITATION
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE
The Village of Key Biscayne will receive
sealed proposals until 2:00 P.M. local time, Monday, December 21st,
2009 at the Village Clerk's office, Village of Key Biscayne Village Hall, 88 W.
McIntyre Street, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149, for the following project:
INSTALLATION OF TWO ARTISTIC TERRAZZO PLAZAS
The installation of two artistic rustic terrazzo
plazas in sidewalk areas along Crandon Boulevard. The artwork is that of
Jose Bedia and was developed for the Village. The work includes sidewalk
demolition, concrete slab substrate construction, rustic terrazzo installation,
site clean-up and restoration.
Bids will be opened publicly at or shortly after
2:05 P.M. on Monday, December 21st, 2009 at the Village of Key
Biscayne Village Hall, 88 W. McIntyre Street, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149.
Bid documents may be obtained on or after
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 from Village Clerk at the Village of
Key Biscayne Village Hall, 88 W. McIntyre Street, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149.
A $35.00 non-refundable deposit per set of plans and specifications is
required.
The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible
responsive bidder. If, however, the Village Manager deems it to be in the
best interest of the Village of Key Biscayne, the Village of Key Biscayne
reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or
minor defects in any bids, and to increase or decrease the quantities shown in
the Bid Form. Bids, which contain irregularities of any kind, may be
rejected as informal.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the
Village of Key Biscayne Village Hall, Building and Zoning Conference Room, 88
W. McIntyre Street, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149, at 10:00 A.M. local time on
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009. All interested contractors are
invited to attend.
The Local Agency of the Village of Key Biscayne hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively assure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminitated against on the grounds of race, color, gender, religion, age, disability, marital status or national orgin in consideration for an award.
