VILLAGE OF
KEY BISCAYNE
The Village of Key Biscayne will receive sealed bids until 2:00
p.m. local time, Tuesday,
September 21, 2010,
at the Village Clerk's office, Village of Key Biscayne, 88 West McIntyre
Street, Suite 220 Key Biscayne, FL 33149, at which time they will be opened and
read aloud for the following project:
WEST WOOD TRAFFIC CALMING
IMPROVEMENTS
The project consists of installation
of four (4) traffic calming devices along West Wood Drive and as described in
the Bid Documents prepared by Tetra Tech.
Any or all
questions pertaining to the bid must be directed in writing to Alicia M.
Verea-Feria, Tetra Tech Project Manager, at Alicia.Verea-Feria@tetratech.com
by Monday, September 13, 2010.
Interested contractors may obtain a copy of the Bid
Documents in person from the Village Clerk’s office for a fee of $50.00 per set
payable by cash or check, on or after Monday, August 16, 2010. Make checks payable to Tetra Tech. Copies of the Bid Documents are non-returnable and
non-refundable. The Village will
not send the package via courier and it will not be available online. All interested contractors who obtain
the Bid Package must register with the Village Clerk, provide contact
information and an e-mail address.
All notices and any addenda issued by the Village with respect to the Bid
will be sent via electronic mail.
Prospective
bidders will be required to submit, with their bid, a copy of the appropriate
Certificate of Competency, as issued by Miami-Dade County, which authorizes the
bidder to perform the proposed work.
Each bid shall
be accompanied by a bid guaranty in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of bid
amount. A Surety Performance Bond,
in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, or an
alternative form of security permitted by the Village, must be submitted by the
successful bidder within ten (10) calendar days after notification of award.
A pre-bid conference for interested
parties will be held at the Village of Key Biscayne, Village Hall, Building,
Zoning and Planning Department, Conference Room (Suite 250) at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday,
September 1, 2010. Attendance at this
conference is mandatory in order to submit a bid for the project.
All bids shall
be submitted in accordance with the Instructors to Bidders and the
Specifications. The Bid includes
the time of performance and the Contract contains provisions for liquidated
damages for failure to complete the work on time. The Village of Key Biscayne reserves the right to waive any
informality on any bid, and the Village Manager may reject any or all bids, and
re-advertise the Project.

PROPOSALS

The
Village of Key Biscayne will receive sealed proposals until 2:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at the Village Clerk's office, Village of Key
Biscayne, 88 West McIntyre Street, Suite 220 Key Biscayne, FL 33149, at which
time they will be opened and read aloud for the following project:
DISASTER RECOVERY SERVICES
The
Village is inviting the submission of proposals from qualified firms for an
initial three (3) year term, with the option to renew the contract for up to
two (2) additional one (1) year terms, at the Village’s sole discretion.
Interested
firms may obtain the Request for Proposals (“RFP”) package in person from the Village
Clerk’s office for a fee of $50.00, on or after Tuesday, July 6, 2010. The Village will not send
the package via courier and it will not be available online. The RFP package contains detailed
information about the Scope of Services, Proposal submission requirements and
selection procedure for this RFP. All
interested proposers who obtain the RFP must register with the Village Clerk,
provide contact information and an e-mail address. All notices and any addenda issued by the Village with
respect to the RFP will be sent via electronic mail.
All
prospective proposers shall attend a pre-proposal conference as part of the RFP
process to be held at the Village of Key Biscayne, Village Hall, Building,
Zoning and Planning Department, Conference Room (Suite 250) at 10:00 a.m. on Friday,
July 16, 2010.
Any and all questions pertaining to the RFP must be directed in writing to Armando Nunez, Director of Public Works, at anunez@keybiscayne.fl.gov by Friday, July 23, 2010.

The Village of Key Biscayne
reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, with or without cause, and

time, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Village Clerk's office, Village of Key
Biscayne Village Hall, 88 W. McIntyre Street, Key Biscayne, Florida
33149, for the following project:
STORMWATER MANAGEMENT MASTER PLAN UPDATE
Copies of this solicitation package can be obtained on or after Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 through the Village Clerk, 88 West McIntyre Street, Suite 220, Key Biscayne, FL 33149 at no cost. An electronic version will be provided upon request by e-mailing the Department of Public Works at mdominguez@keybiscayne.fl.gov. All prospective contractors shall attend a pre-proposal conference as part of the qualification process to be held at the Village of Key Biscayne, Village Hall, Building, Zoning and Planning Department, Conference Room (Suite 250) at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The Local Agency of the Village of Key Biscayne hereby notifies all participants that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, gender, religion, age, disability, marital status or national origin in consideration for an award.
