NOTICE OF BID INVITATION

VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE


The Village of Key Biscayne will receive sealed proposals until 2:00 P.M. local time on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Village Clerk’s office, Village of Key Biscayne Village Hall, 88 W. McIntyre Street, Suite 220, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149, at which time the will be opened publicly for the following project:


Fernwood Road Lighting Improvements, ITB 2018-01-03


The project consists of installing new decorative lighting.

Interested bidders may obtain a copy of the Bid Documents through the Onvia DemandStar portal or in person from the Village Clerk’s office for a fee of $35.00 per set payable by cash or check, on or after Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018. Make checks payable to Village of Key Biscayne. Copies of the Bid Documents are non-returnable and non-refundable. Project manuals/plan will not be mailed, shipped or available online.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Village of Key Biscayne, Village Hall, Building, Zoning and Planning Department, Conference Room (Suite 250) at 2:00pm local time on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018. Attendance at this conference is mandatory in order to submit a proposal in response to this Bid and for the project.

All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements of this RFP and the Specifications. The bid will be awarded to the lower responsible responsive bidder. If, however, the Village Manager deems it to be in the best interest of the Village of Key Biscayne, the Village of Key Biscayne reserves the right to reject any and all bids and re-advertise the Project, to waive any informalities or minor defects in any bids, and to increase or decrease the quantities shown in the Bid Form. Bids, which contain irregularities of any kind, may be rejected as informal.

Any or all questions or requests for interpretations or clarifications pertaining to the Bid must be directed via email to Tony O. Brown, Public Works Superintendent, at tbrown@keybiscayne.fl.gov by Monday, January 29th, 2018. All notices and any addenda issued by the Village with respect to the Bid will be sent via email to those who purchase a paper copy and register in the Village Clerk’s office. Bidders that obtain a copy of the RFP Documents through the DemandStar are responsible for obtaining all notices and any addenda issued directly from the DemandStar portal.
