Crews from the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department will be repairing a sewer lateral at 730 South Mashta Drive on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. They will also repair a sewer lateral at 740 S. Mashta Drive tomorrow (Thursday, September 3, 2015). Duration of each repair is one day. Residents should expect a short detour around the work zone.

FPL has confirmed a power outage in the Buttonwood area that began between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. this morning. 25 homes are affected. Repairs are underway and FPL expects power to be restored by 11:15 a.m.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), residents in coastal areas of Miami-Dade County should expect heavy rain, local flooding, thunderstorms and wind gusts starting tonight. A Flood Watch is in effect through Sunday night. High tide at Bear Cut will occur at 9:36 p.m. tonight and may affect the Village's storm drainage system capability.

Village emergency personnel and FPL crews responded to downed power lines in the vicinity of 50 West Mashta Drive this morning. At this time 1500 customers do not have power in the Village. FPL equipment was damaged in this incident. No completion time for repairs is available as of this post. Customers may call 305-442-8770 for updates.
