The Key Biscayne Feline Trap, Neuter and Release team will be trapping unneutered community cats on Sunday, January 22, 2017 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. along 100-400 blocks of Fernwood Road and the 200 block of Cypress Drive. FPL will be working at 544 Ridgewood Road on Wednesday through Friday, December 14-16, 2016. Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Residents should expect road closures and detours. Ridgewood Road is open to local traffic only. Please avoid the area if you do not live on Ridgewood Road between West Heather Drive and West Mcintyre Street.

There was an active Key Biscayne Police investigation earlier this morning due to a home invasion. Local streets in the area of 100-300 blocks of Fernwood Road, 100-300 blocks of Glenridge Road and 100-300 blocks of Woodcrest Road were closed. As a precaution, all Key Biscayne Schools were placed on lockdown and subsequently verified to be secure.
