KBPD Chief Charles Press received the following from American Traffic Solutions, the Village's red-light safety camera vendor.
"As part of our ongoing efforts to encourage and promote road and pedestrian safety along with the recognition of Florida's significant Spanish-speaking population we wanted to share with you some additional community outreach efforts spearheaded by Stop on Red Florida. Stop Red Florida has announced the launch the Spanish translation of its website and other informational resources. The newly developed "Detengase en la Roja Florida" materials include a microsite and fact sheet as well as an informative tab on Facebook.
Simply click on each link to review. All of the information is routinely and frequently updated. In fact, you may easily download the fact sheet and use during your presentations, speaking engagements or even link to them on your own website.
As all of you know, Florida is currently the third most deadly state for red-light running and home to the top four most dangerous metropolitan areas in the nation. We must remain vigilant to communicating the importance of road safety and Florida's red light camera successes. Together, we can ensure we save even more lives."
