Posted: Tuesday, July 3, 2018 12:30 pm

Happy 4th of July!

Village of Key Biscayne Offices and the Community Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. Everyone is invited to holiday festivities on the Key.

The Fourth of July Celebration is one of the highlights of summer on Key Biscayne. The day-long schedule of events begins with the traditional parade along Crandon Boulevard starting at 11:00 AM presented by the Fourth of July Parade Committee. The KB Rotary Club Picnic takes place at the Village Green immediately after the parade. Kid-friendly activities will be available at the Village Green.

The day concludes at sunset with the fireworks display off the beach. Tune into WDNA 88.9 FM to hear the fireworks music simulcast. This is a not-to-be-missed event for all residents.

Street Closures, Detours and Parking

Residents are encouraged to attend the events via golf cart, bicycle, on foot or by LimeBike to avoid parking issues and traffic congestion.

Please be advised that the intersection of Harbor Drive and Crandon Boulevard will be closed at 10:00 a.m. The west side lanes of Crandon as well as northeast Harbor Drive from St. Agnes to Crandon will be closed for the parade. No turns onto the entry block of Harbor from Crandon will be allowed until after the parade. Contraflow traffic on the east side of Crandon will be established to allow access into the Village.

St. Agnes Catholic Church will have Mass at 10:00 a.m. Parishioners are advised that they must exit in a southwesterly direction out of St. Agnes toward the Yacht Club. Traffic will be detoured along Harbor Drive southwest of St. Agnes and along West Mashta Drive to southern Crandon Boulevard.
