Traffic Alert: County Tree Trimming Along Rickenbacker/Crandon April 5-6, 2018

The following information was provided to Village Officials on Thursday morning, April 5th.

 

The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department (PROS) will be performing landscape maintenance services along the Rickenbacker Causeway and Crandon Boulevard on the below listed dates.

 

April 5, 2018, Thursday

April 6, 2018, Friday

 

Work will take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  During the landscape maintenance activities, staff will be performing tree/vegetation trimming services at bus stops and other various locations along the Rickenbacker Causeway and Crandon Boulevard, on both the north and south sides of the roadway. Work will take place within the Village of Key Biscayne (VKB) from Harbor Drive to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. In addition, additional services will take place outside the VKB toward the MAST Academy High School. Staff will be employing a rolling maintenance of traffic (MOT) operation, and will not be operating at any one location for an extended period of time.

 

One vehicular travel lane and cycling lane will remain open at all times. However, motorists may experience minor traffic delays and may need to factor in additional travel time.
