TS Gordon Update #4: Tropical Storm Warning for Key Biscayne Discontinued - Village Offices, Schools Open Tomorrow

Posted: Monday, September 3, 2018 5:35 pm

The Tropical Storm Warning for Key Biscayne and areas in southeastern Florida has been discontinued. However, additional rain is possible into early Tuesday.

Village officials inspected neighborhood streets and observed localized flooding that is receding as the tide ebbs. Downed tree branches and palm fronds were removed from the roadways. Several young or recently planted trees were uprooted; they will be righted and replanted tomorrow.

Village offices and the Key Biscayne Community Center are open with regular hours tomorrow, September 4th. Residential garbage pick-up will occur according to the regular schedule. Public schools will be open.

This will be the final update from the Village concerning Tropical Storm Gordon for today.
