There was an active Key Biscayne Police investigation earlier this morning due to a home invasion. Local streets in the area of 100-300 blocks of Fernwood Road, 100-300 blocks of Glenridge Road and 100-300 blocks of Woodcrest Road were closed. As a precaution, all Key Biscayne Schools were placed on lockdown and subsequently verified to be secure.

Contractors at a 431 Island Drive construction site broke a water main while working in the Right-of-Way before 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15. Village Public Works and Code Enforcement personnel responded to the area and notified Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) of the break. Water service to approximately five residences is affected.
