Parks Division

Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks Division is responsible for maintenance, and programming, of four parks within Village boundaries: Village Green, Beach Park, Lake Park and East Enid Linear Park. It maintains playing fields at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Key Biscayne K-8 Center, Calusa Park and Crandon Park via management agreements between the Village and the Archdiocese of Miami, Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Miami-Dade County Parks and Recreation Department, respectively. This includes oversight of the maintenance contractor responsible for athletic field maintenance at the Village Green, Key Biscayne K-8 Center and St. Agnes. Tot lots and playgrounds are located at the southwest corner of the Village Green and in Calusa Park.

Parks and facilities are inspected weekly for maintenance and safety concerns. The Division also manages the issuance of permits required for parties, organized sports, and special events held by any person or organization in accordance the Village's park rules adopted by Village Council with Ordinance 95-14 on November 14, 1995.
