TODLLER PARK LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS

       Update #1: September 5, 2017 - Please be advised that due to Hurricane Irma preparations Village Hall will be closed this Thursday and Friday. The submittal date for ITB
                          2017-08-09 for Toddler P ark Lighting Improvements will no longer be September 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The Village is postponing the due date until after the storm. 
                          The Village will be informing interested bidders through Demandstar and the Village website as to the new date.


The Village of Key Biscayne will receive sealed proposals until 2:00 P.M. local time on Friday, September 8th, 2017 at the Village Clerk’s office, Village of Key Biscayne Village Hall, 88 W. McIntyre Street, Suite 220, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149, at which time the will be opened publicly for the following project:


Toddler Park Lighting Improvements
ITB No. 2017-08-09



The project consists of installing new decorative lighting.

Interested bidders may obtain a copy of the Bid Documents through the Onvia DemandStar portal or in person from the Village Clerk’s office for a fee of $35.00 per set payable by cash or check, on or after Wednesday, August 9th, 2017. Make checks payable to Village of Key Biscayne. Copies of the Bid Documents are non-returnable and non-refundable. Project manuals/plan will not be mailed, shipped or available online.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Village of Key Biscayne, Village Hall, Building, Zoning and Planning Department, Conference Room (Suite 250) at 11:00 A.M. local time on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017. Attendance at this conference is mandatory in order to submit a proposal in response to this Bid and for the project.


All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements of this ITB and the Specifications. The bid will be awarded to the lower responsible responsive bidder. If, however, the Village Manager deems it to be in the best interest of the Village of Key Biscayne, the Village of Key Biscayne reserves the right to reject any and all bids and re-advertise the Project, to waive any informalities or minor defects in any bids, and to increase or decrease the quantities shown in the Bid Form. Bids, which contain irregularities of any kind, may be rejected as informal.

Any or all questions or requests for interpretations or clarifications pertaining to the Bid must be directed via email to Tony O. Brown, Public Works Superintendent at tbrown@keybiscayne.fl.gov by Wednesday, August 30th, 2017. All notices and any addenda issued by the Village with respect to the Bid will be sent via email to those who purchase a paper copy and register in the Village Clerk’s office. Bidders that obtain a copy of the RFP Documents through the DemandStar are responsible for obtaining all notices and any addenda issued directly from the DemandStar portal.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES

FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL

The Village of Key Biscayne will receive sealed Proposals until 2:00 p.m local time September 6, 2017, at the Village Clerk's Office, Village of Key Biscayne, 88 West McIntyre Street, Suite 220, Key Biscayne, FL 33149, at which time they will be opened publicly for the following service:

 

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL

 

This project entails the engineering design of the Key Biscayne Safe Routes to School program. The recommended Safe Routes were developed for the project school based on examination of school boundary, aerial photography, existing and future land uses, crash data, counted traffic volumes, posted speed limits and location of traffic control devices. The recommended Safe routes includes additional sidewalks, sidewalk improvements, street crossing improvements, ADA ramps, high visibility striping, bike ramps, and pedestrian signals. Selected firm shall assist the agency preparing bid documents for the project.


Interested proposers may obtain a copy of the RFQ Documents through the Onvia DemandStar portal or online here at the Village of Key Biscayne website on or after August 3, 2017; however, addendums are only posted on www.demandstar.com.

Request for Qualifications

Professional Engineering Services for the
Village-Wide Undergrounding of Utilities Program

Proposals for Professional Engineering Services for the Village-Wide Undergrounding of Utilities Program will be received by the Village of Key Biscayne at the Village Clerk’s Office, 88 W McIntyre Street, Suite 220, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149, until 2:00 P.M. on July 26, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened.


The Village of Key Biscayne is seeking to retain the services of an extremely diverse, comprehensive and multi-disciplined professional engineering CONSULTANT team to provide the program management and design services for this program. The CONSULTANT team shall be a recognized firm with sub-CONSULTANTs in numerous fields of expertise, preferably with some local knowledge and experience. It is imperative that this CONSULTANT have a proven track record of success on projects / programs of this specific scope and magnitude. The contract resulting from this RFQ will be for the duration of the program.


The Florida Power and Light has approximately 4.5 miles of aerial feeder, and approximately 9.8 miles of primary laterals. The area includes 1,143 single family homes, multifamily, government, commercial, office, institutional and recreational uses. The existing overhead utilities include electric, telephone, and cable TV. The project is currently estimated to cost on the order of $30 million and with a duration estimated to be approximately 7 years for design and construction.


Time is of the essence and any proposal received after 2:00 p.m. on, July 26, 2017, whether by mail or otherwise, will be returned unopened. Proposers are responsible for ensuring that their proposal is received in the Clerk’s Office by the deadline indicated.


An original, seven (7) copies and one (1) electronic version of the proposal shall be submitted in sealed envelopes/ packages addressed to Village Clerk, Village of Key Biscayne, Florida, and marked “RFQ No. 2017-06-07 Professional Engineering Services for the Village- Wide Undergrounding of Utilities Program.” CONSULTANTs desiring a copy of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) may obtain such documents here (3.57 MB PDF) from the Village’s website.
