LimeBike has come to Key Biscayne!
The dockless bikesharing platform from California started rolling out their bikes this week in their signature bright green color. You may have seen them around already, but if you want to pick one up yourself, you can find them at designated bike racks at places like the Key Biscayne Community Center, Village Hall, the Square Shopping Center, the Library, and the Beach Park.
LimeBikes are GPS-enabled, making it simple for riders to find, unlock and pick up a nearby bike using LimeBike's mobile app. The dockless network and integrated self-activating lock eliminates the time and hassle of having to return bikes to a docking station. When finished, riders simply lock the bike where they want to leave it and see the ride's final statistics instantly in the app.
LimeBike aims to revolutionize mobility in cities and campuses by empowering residents with cleaner, more efficient, and affordable transportation options that improve urban sustainability. After the free promotional period this week, rides will cost just $1 for every 30 minutes. Similar to Uber or Lyft, anyone with a credit card and smartphone can access a LimeBike.
