Please see below for information about Christmas tree pickup for island residences. Please remove all lights, ornaments and tree stands from the trees before placing your trees outside for collection.
Single-family homes and duplexes:
Place clean Christmas trees along the swale for pickup during the January 14-18, 2019 monthly bulky waste service. Please note that the tree recycling/mulching program was discontinued after 2016 due to lack of resident demand for the mulch.
Refer to the color-coded bulky waste pickup zone map on the 2019 Bulk Waste Flyer (available here in English (PDF) and here in Spanish (PDF)) to determine when service will be in your area. These flyers and solid waste/recycling info are available online and were mailed to residences by Waste Management, the Village's Solid Waste contractor.
Apartments and condominiums:
Public Works personnel have been picking up clean trees (withou lights, ornaments, tree stands, etc.) placed along the swale in front of your building since January 7th. This service will continue until trees are no longer visible on the swales.
If you need further information, please contact Jessica Garcia in Public Works at jgarcia@keybiscayne.fl.gov or (305) 365-8945.
