Florida Power and Light (FPL) is performing directional boring activities along Crandon Boulevard for the installation of about 2.2 miles of FPL duct bank, including directional bore, 15 FPL manholes, and a feeder cable along the right hand, outbound lane on Crandon Blvd.
During the construction activities, sections of the westbound vehicular travel lane (toward the mainland), closest to the dedicated bike lane may be closed, from east of Calusa Circle to the Bear Cut Bridge. However, one vehicular travel lane, and cycling lane will remain open at all times. Motorists may experience traffic delays and should factor in additional travel time.
This project will be taking place for an estimated six months and is being conducted exclusively from Monday to Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
No work will be performed on weekends or during special events.
