During the Golden Era of Hollywood from 1930 to 1960, movies, in addition to simply entertaining, also addressed society’s political and social issues with an emphasis on the need to promote and defend American democratic values and democracy itself against any threat. Join Michael Scheibach, Ph.D., for a multimedia presentation featuring a discussion along with film clips from some of this era’s most notable movies on the importance of our democracy.
