Community Center Update

Fitness Center, Lap Swimming & Basketball Courts Available by Online Reservation for KBCC Members

Fitness Center use, Lap Swimming & Basketball Courts are available with online registration for KBCC Members! 

KBCC Members may use the ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM to register.

Please carefully review the operating procedures and safety protocols specified below for each activity before visiting the KBCC.

Registrations must be made online or by phone in advance. Walk-ins will not be admitted.

Members must comply with all health and wellness protocols that are implemented by the KBCC. Their failure to do so could result in the Village prohibiting them from being able to enter the Village facilities and participate in Village programs.

MEMBERSHIPS

  • KBCC Members who had an active membership as of March 13, 2020 may request a pro-rated credit on their account that can be applied towards a new monthly membership.
  • Fitness Center and Pool use are available to all Key Biscayne residents with an active membership. A KBCC Member has established a RecTrac account at the KBCC by providing a photo ID and proof of residency and has paid the membership fee.
  • Expired or new KBCC Members may renew or purchase a membership by providing a picture ID, proof of Key Biscayne residency, Membership Application and COVID-19 Waiver
  • Membership options, fees, forms and details are available here.
  • Annual memberships are not available at this time due to COVID-19.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

  • Access to the KBCC’s Online Registration System requires a Username and Password. If you have registered for a membership, program, activity or rental at the KBCC since 2018, you already have an account in our RecTrac registration system.
    • Log-in credentials are based on the email address associated with the Primary Member of your Household account.
    • All members of your Household will use the same account for online registrations.
    • Your Household’s Username = Your Household’s Primary Email Address
    • You can reset your Household’s Password here
    • If you need assistance with accessing your online account, please email CCInfo@KeyBiscayne.FL.Gov with your name, date of birth, phone number and address 
  • As of October 12, 2020, the AppointmentPlus online registration system will no longer be active.

FITNESS CENTER GUIDELINES

  • An active KBCC membership is required to make Fitness Center registrations.
  • Wearing a facial covering and social distancing is encouraged.
  • Only 40 Members at a time will be allowed inside the Fitness Center areas.
  • Fitness Center sessions are limited to 90 minutes.
  • Members are asked to arrive with exercise attire on and ready to work out. Showers and lockers are not available for use.
  • Members must leave the KBCC as soon as they finish exercising and collect their belongings.
  • Members must bring their own personal-use items, such as mats, towels, water bottles, etc.
  • Water fountains are closed, but touch-free water stations remain open.
  • Personal Trainers are not allowed in the Fitness Center at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Members must be at least 16 years old to exercise in the Fitness Center. Members ages 14 and 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to exercise in the Fitness Center. That adult must be responsible for the monitoring of Fitness Center use and stay with the child in the Fitness Center. The adult and child must each have their own registration and must both have an active membership.
  • Cancellations online may be made at any time. Excessive no-shows will lead to a temporary freeze on your account.

LAP SWIMMING GUIDELINES

  • An active KBCC membership is required to make lap swimming registrations.
  • Wearing a facial covering and social distancing is encouraged.
  • 2 swimmers may share a lane.
  • Lap swimming sessions are limited to 45 minutes.
  • Members are asked to arrive with swim attire on and ready to swim.
  • Showers and lockers inside the pool bathrooms are not available for use.
  • Members must bring their own pool equipment and other personal-use items.
  • Water fountains are closed, but touch-free water stations remain open. Members must bring their own water bottles.
  • If there is inclement weather and the pool must close, Members must exit the facility and reschedule their swimming session.
  • Children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. That adult must be responsible for the monitoring of pool use and stay with the child while at the KBCC and in the pool.
  • Cancellations online may be made at any time. Excessive no-shows will lead to a temporary freeze on your account.

BASKETBALL COURT GUIDELINES

  • An active KBCC membership is required to make Basketball Court reservations.
  • Maximum 10 players per court; 20 person maximum inside Basketball Gymnasium at any time.
  • Members must bring their own basketball. Basketballs may not be stored at the KBCC.
  • Wearing a facial covering and social distancing is encouraged.
  • Basketball Court sessions are limited to 55 minutes.
  • Members must be at least 14 years old to reserve a Basketball Court.
  • Members age 13 and younger must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. That adult must be responsible for the monitoring of court use and stay with the child while at the KBCC and in the Basketball Gymnasium.
  • At this time, only basketball may be played inside the Basketball Gymnasium.
  • Cancellations online may be made at any time. Excessive no-shows will lead to a temporary freeze on your account.
