The Village Green was home to one of the ten pianos placed in locations around Miami-Dade County as part of the Pop-Up Pianos Miami event at Art Basel 2011. The pianos, donated by Steinway and painted by Miami artists, were on site from December 1-7. The piano exhibited in the Village was painted by Kazilla & Lorie Setton.
Anyone could play the piano, 24 hours a day, for the seven-day duration of the installation. A free concert by Duran Blu and Big Brooklyn Red took place at noon on Sunday, December 4.
