Fingerprint Service
As a courtesy to the general public, the Village of Key Biscayne Police Department does fingerprints in accordance with the following policy:

  • Fingerprint service is provided for most services EXCEPTthe Department of Immigration and Naturalization Service. 
  • It is STRONGLY RECOMMNEDED that all fingerprint applicants provide their own blank fingerprint card/s. However, fingerprint cards available upon request.
  • Key Biscayne Residents: The two (2) fingerprint cards free upon presenting proof of residence. If additional cards in excess of two (2) are desired, there is a $5.00 charge per additional card.  Must pay with a Money Order or Personal Check.
  • Non - Residents of Key Biscayne:Must pay an initial charge of $ 25.00 for up to two (2) fingerprint cards. If additional cards in excess of two (2) are desired, there is a $5.00 charge per additional card. Must pay with a Money Order.
  • Resident Key Biscayne Business Owners: The two (2) fingerprint cards free upon presenting proof of residence. If additional cards in excess of two (2) are desired, there is a $5.00 charge per additional card. Must pay with a Money Order.
  • Non - Resident Employees of Key Biscayne Business'smust pay an initial charge of $ 25.00 for up to two (2) fingerprint cards. If additional cards in excess of two (2) are desired, there is a $5.00 charge per additional card. Must pay with a Money Order.

Golf Cart Registration, Rules and Regulations

The following documents are required to register your Golf Cart:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Golf Cart Insurance
  • Vehicle Registration or Bill of Sale
  • $15.00 Check or Money Order payable to “The Village of Key Biscayne”

Golf Cart Regulations

  • Must be registered with the Village of Key Biscayne Police Department and inspected annually.
  • A fee of $15.00 will be charged for each inspection.
  • Must display a valid permit, which must be affixed on the left driver side of the vehicle.
  • Driver must have a valid operators license – Not a Learner’s Permit.
  • Must comply with all Local and State laws – including parking regulations.
  • Golf carts are not allowed on Crandon Boulevard with the exception of crossing Crandon Boulevard.
  • Golf carts may not carry more than the maximum number of passengers that it is designed to carry.
  • Must be equipped with headlights and windshield, if operated between the hours of sunset and sunrise.
  • Must comply with applicable State laws pertaining to insurance requirements.
  • Cannot be driven on the beach, in parks, on bike paths, sidewalks or swales of the Village.

Regulaciones de los Carritos de Golf

  • Deberán ser registrados con el Departamento de Policía de Key Biscayne y ser inspeccionados anualmente.
  • La tarifa por cada inspección es de $15.00.
  • El permiso valido debe colocarse en el lado izquierdo del vehículo.
  • El conductor debe tener una licencia valida de Operador – No un permiso de aprendiz.
  • Debe cumplir con todas las leyes Locales y Estatales – incluyendo las normas de estacionamiento.
  • Los carritos de golf no son permitidos en Crandon Boulevard con la excepción de cruzar Crandon Boulevard.
  • Los carritos de golf no pueden llevar mas que el numero máximo de pasajeros que esta diseñado para llevar.
  • Debe estar equipado con faros y parabrisas si opera entre las horas del atardecer y el amanecer.
  • Debe cumplir con las leyes Estatales aplicables relativas a los requisitos del seguro.
  • No puede ser conducido en la playa, en parques, caminos para bicicletas, aceras o cunetas de la ciudad.

Lost and Found (Property & Evidence)
From time to time, The Key Biscayne Police Department receives found items. These items are turned over to the Property and Evidence Custodian for cataloging and storage until the rightful owner claims them. 

If you have lost an item, you are invited to contact the Key Biscayne Police Department's Property and Evidence Custodian to see if the item has been recovered and turned in to the department. 

If your item is in the department's custody, you may contact the Property and Evidence Custodian at (305) 365-8990 Ext. 1107 make arrangements to retrieve your lost item.

Copies of Reports (Accidents/Crime)
The Key Biscayne Police Department provides copies of Accident and Crime reports. One copy of a single report is provided free of charge. There is a fee for multiple copies of a single report and/or single copies of multiple reports. For further information, contact the Key Biscayne Police Department Administration (305) 365-8905 or (305) 365-8913. Copies of reports may be obtained at the Key Biscayne Police Department Administration office between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Off-Duty Officer Assistance
As a courtesy to the residents of Key Biscayne, the Village of Key Biscayne Police Department provides an "Off-Duty" officer assistance program. Typically, a resident would utilize this program when an officer/s is/are needed for a special event such as a wedding reception, when a large number of guests are expected.
